RCTC football team rolls past Vermilion
ELY — Dominique Parks rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns as Rochester Community and Technical College rolled past Vermilion 42–7 on Saturday in junior college football. The win moves the Yellowjackets to 2–0 while Vermilion drops to 0–2.

Girls Soccer | La Crescent 3, Rochester John Marshall 2
Rochester John Marshall surrendered two second–half goals to La Crescent on Saturday, losing the lead and the non–conference match, 3–2, to the Lancers. Bridget Graves scored for JM in the first half to tie the score, 1–1. Kristin Poe made it 2–1 Rockets early in the second half, but La Crescent responded with two goals late in the game to earn the victory.
Vikings say goodbye to Walker, Lloyd
MINNEAPOLIS — Wide receiver Javon Walker and kickoff specialist Rhys Lloyd were jettisoned Saturday as the Vikings pared their roster to the regular–season limit of 53 players. But that didn't mean team officials felt they had a finished product on their hands.
